General terms and conditions

 

A contract concerning the performance of a guided tour / guided tours is concluded under the following conditions:

 

1. These contractual conditions become valid if this has been agreed in detail between the contracting parties. Upon written or verbal request, the client receives an offer for a guided tour by email. With written confirmation of the offer by the client, the tour is bindingly booked.

 

2. In case of doubt, the contract shall be interpreted in accordance with the professional profile (www.freizeitbetriebe-wien.at/guides) of commercially authorized tourist guides, published by the FACHVERBAND DER FREIZEITBETRIEBE, Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Wiedner Hauptstraße 63, 1045 Vienna.

3. Prices

- All prices are charged without VAT - small business regulation according to § 6 Abs. 1 Z 27 UStG.

- The prices given here are for guidance only. A separate price is agreed for each guided tour by offer and acceptance of the offer by the client.

- All prices refer only to the cost of the guide. Not included are e.g. costs for bus, bike rental, entrance fees, consumption, group guiding system.

 

- Basic guided tour ("Basic Tour") within Vienna: 170€. The total duration of the tour is maximum 3 hours. The pure guiding time is maximum 2 hours. The tour must end before 1pm, or start after 1:30pm.

- Combined tour ("Combo Tour"): 270€. The total duration of the tour is maximum 5 hours. The pure guiding tour time is 3-4 hours.

- Tours with a total duration of 5-7 hours are charged as 2 basic tours: 340€.

 

4. cancellation policy

If the client/customer withdraws from the contract, or if the group does not show up, cancellation fees may apply, based on the following deadlines. Exceptions will be agreed separately.

 

- The client/customer does not have to pay a cancellation fee if the cancellation is made in writing at least 14 days before the tour date.

 

- In case of cancellation between 14 and 3 days before the agreed date of the guided tour, 50% of the agreed price is to be paid.

 

- If the client cancels less than 3 days before the agreed date of the guided tour, the full agreed fee must be paid. The day of cancellation and the agreed day of the guided tour are included in the calculation of the deadline. The cancellation fees mentioned here are lump-sum penalties to be paid regardless of fault or any damage occurred. The cancellation fee is to be paid separately for each individual canceled tour.

 

5. group size

For all tours, the group size should not exceed 30 participants. A group tour system (Quietvox) is recommended for groups of 15 or more participants. Groups of 40 or more participants must be divided and a second guide must be added, thus doubling the price.

 

6. group guide system (Quiet Vox)

For groups of 15 or more participants, a group guide system (Quietvox) is recommended. The group guidance system can be provided by the client or organized by Walk-in-Vienna. The costs incurred will be passed on to the client at no extra charge. If, contrary to Walk-in-Vienna's recommendation, the client does not wish to use a group guidance system, Walk-in-Vienna shall not be liable for the acoustic intelligibility of the guided tour. In the event of damage to the group guidance system, costs will be incurred which are to be borne by the client. The equipment is disinfected and cleaned after each use. Own headphones can also be used.

 

7. waiting times

In case of the client's delay, the guide is obliged to wait for the client for 30 minutes at the agreed meeting point. The customer in turn is obliged to wait for the guide for 15 minutes. The waiting time is always included in the duration of the tour. In the event of a foreseeable delay, we ask to announce it on the phone number agreed in the offer.

 

8. prevention

In the event of an unavoidable hindrance, the guide undertakes to find a substitute of equal professional competence. The client must be informed of this as soon as possible.

 

9. Payment

Payment shall be made after the service has been rendered or immediately after the invoice has been issued, without deductions. Deviating terms of payment such as advance payment can be agreed upon.

- Any cash payment shall be made against delivery of a payment confirmation.

- Bank transfers must be made within two weeks of receipt of the invoice and are free of charge for the recipient.

 

10. reminder fees

In case of a reminder, a reminder fee of 5 Euro is due.
